Context
- National Digital Health Ecosystem will be rolled out, said Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman while presenting the budget in the Lok Sabha.
Features
- National Digital Health Ecosystem is an open platform.
- It will consist of digital registries of health providers and health facilities, unique health identity, consent framework and universal access to health facilities.
National Telly Mental Health Programme
- About: To better access to quality mental health counselling and care services a national telly mental health programme will be launched which will include a network of 23 telly mental health centres of excellence.
- Nodal Centre: National Institute of Mental health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) will be the nodal centre.
- Significance: With the Covid-19 affecting the mental health of people, who have been adapting to physical, psychological and economical changes in the past two years of the pandemic. The National Tele Mental Health programme, will provide access to quality mental health counselling and care services.
