India’s 2026-27 Census, starting April 2026, will update the National Population Register during its house-listing phase. It will include caste enumeration and support delimitation and the Women’s Reservation Bill. The National Register of Citizens remains undecided, despite earlier protests against NPR and NRC linked to the 2019 CAA.
