INS Brahmaputra is a frontline indigenously built guided missile frigate of the Indian Navy.
As the lead ship of the Brahmaputra-class (Project 16) it represents India’s growing shipbuilding capability and maritime power projection.

Preceded by: Godavari-class frigates
It is the first in a series of three ships in its class, followed by INS Beas and INS Betwa.
