Details

  • The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was recognised as a national party by the Election Commission.
  • The Commission suspended the national party status of the All India Trinamool Congress, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), and the Communist Party of India (CPI).
  • The Commission cancelled the state party status granted to the RLD in Uttar Pradesh, the BRS in Andhra Pradesh, the PDA in Manipur, the PMK in Puducherry, the RSP in West Bengal, and the MPC in Mizoram.
