India needs a balanced, single-model Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT) framework to attract foreign investment and protect its investors abroad. The current dual-model idea is seen as impractical and inconsistent. A uniform, fair approach—like the recent India-UAE BIT—ensures policy stability, boosts global credibility, and supports sustainable development and investor confidence.
