Optional Subject is pivotal in getting your name in the final list of the UPSC. The variation in marks can either break in or break out you from the Final List. Therefore it is very important to select the right optional subject for yourselves. The selection of the right optional subject depends on lot of factors like understanding the syllabus, demand of the subject , your liking for the subject etc. However the first crucial step is student should go through the syllabus of the most likely subjects they want to take as an optional. This will help them to narrow down to few subjects and as per their liking they can choose the most suitable optional for them.
