• Divya Kala Mela provides a platform for individuals with disabilities to empower themselves economically and display their talents and skills. The 2023 Divya Kala Mela will take place in Bengaluru, Karnataka, from October 27th to November 5th.

About Divya Kala Mela

• The Mela was inaugurated on October 27th, by the Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment.
• Approximately 100 Divyang artisans, artists, and entrepreneurs from 20 states and union territories exhibited a diverse range of products, including home décor, clothing, stationery, eco-friendly items, packaged food, toys, paintings, and more, at the event.
• The Mela featured a series of cultural activities, including performances by Divyangjan artists and other well-known professionals.
• Visitors had the opportunity to purchase products made by Divyang craftsmen, encouraging the "vocal for local" initiative and supporting their skills and determination.
• The event was part of a larger initiative to promote economic empowerment for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) across India. This event was the ninth in a series that began in 2022, and there were plans to organize the event in 12 cities during 2023-2024.
