VB–G RAM G 2025 (Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar & Ajeevika Mission – Gramin)
VB–G RAM G 2025 was in the news as it represents the biggest overhaul of rural employment policy since MNREGA (2005). It legally guarantees 125 days of wage employment per rural household, shifting the focus from short-term wage relief to infrastructure-led, asset-creating employment. The scheme prioritises water security, rural infrastructure, livelihoods, and climate resilience, uses Viksit Gram Panchayat Plans, GIS mapping, and a National Rural Infrastructure Stack, and introduces normative funding while retaining unemployment allowance.
PM Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDDKY)
PMDDKY was launched in 2025 with a ₹24,000 crore outlay to transform 100 low-productivity districts through convergence of 36 schemes across 11 ministries. It focuses on irrigation, diversification, storage, credit, and district-level planning via District Dhan-Dhaanya Samitis, making it a successor to the Aspirational Districts approach for agriculture.
Mission Aatmanirbharta in Pulses
This mission was highlighted for targeting self-sufficiency in pulses by 2030–31, with free seed kits, MSP-linked procurement through NAFED and NCCF, and expansion of Tur, Urad, and Masoor cultivation to reduce import dependence.
PM-AASHA (Extended till 2025–26)
PM-AASHA was extended to ensure remunerative prices for pulses and oilseeds, with procurement limits raised to 25% of national production and 100% procurement assurance for select pulses.
PMFBY (Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana)
PMFBY remained in news for completing 9 years, disbursing ₹1.75 lakh crore in claims, and for reforms like YES-TECH remote sensing, DigiClaim, and escrow-based premium systems to ensure timely payouts.
Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM)
JJM was in focus for achieving 80% rural tap water coverage by August 2025 and shifting emphasis from infrastructure creation to daily functionality, water quality, and sustainability, with convergence under PM GatiShakti.
M-CADWM (Modernisation of Command Area Development & Water Management)
M-CADWM was approved in 2025 with ₹1,600 crore to modernise canal-to-farm irrigation using pressurised pipelines, SCADA, and IoT, and to promote water-use efficiency and farmer-managed irrigation systems.
Ayushman Bharat – PMJAY
PMJAY was in the news as the world’s largest health insurance scheme, covering 12+ crore families, issuing 42+ crore cards, and saving ₹1.52 lakh crore in out-of-pocket expenditure.
Ayushman Vay Vandana Yojana (AVVY)
AVVY gained attention for extending ₹5 lakh cashless healthcare to all senior citizens aged 70+, irrespective of income or insurance status, with zero waiting period.
Mission Poshan 2.0 & PMMVY
These schemes were highlighted for strengthening maternal and child nutrition, using Poshan Tracker, Facial Recognition Systems, and expanded coverage in PVTG areas.
PMSMA (Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan)
PMSMA completed 9 years, contributing to a sharp decline in Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR) and strengthening high-risk pregnancy tracking through E-PMSMA.
PM SETU Scheme
PM SETU was launched with ₹60,000 crore to modernise 1,000 ITIs using a hub-and-spoke model, focus on AI, robotics, green energy, and create a future-ready workforce aligned with Viksit Bharat 2047.
NAVYA Initiative
